Hervé MARAETAATA

Hervé was born and raised in Marqueses. He traces his origins to the Marquesas Islands, specifically on the island of Fatuhiva. As a professional guide for several years, he decided some years ago to live his culture at home. Today, he is a prominent figure in culture and navigation. 'The man who speaks to the wind and nature' is the nickname given to him by the locals. Through his life stories, navigation skills, and knowledge of plants, Hervé manages to touch the hearts of everyone.

    • Natural mosquito repellent (essential citronella oil - nature welcomes us with open arms, so let's not damage it with toxic products)

    • A full water bottle (2L per person)

    • Sunscreen (environmentally friendly)

    • A towel and change of clothes (to be left in the car to keep dry for the return journey)

  • To get to Hervé's house, you have to cross a small river that comes up to your knees.

    There are dry toilets on site

    The site has no electrical outlets, and no "potable" water filtered by the commune. Only spring water is available.

    Lunch will consist of produce from the garden, valley and sea grown and hunted by Herves.

  • If you cancel more than 30 days before the scheduled activity → You will automatically receive a 100% refund

    If you cancel between 30 days and 2 days before the start of the activity → You will be eligible for a partial refund of 30%.

    If you cancel 2 days or less before the start of the activity → No refund will be possible.
