Pioneering Sustainable Tourism in French Polynesia
Beach Clean-Ups & Awareness Campaigns
We regularly organize beach clean-ups with our guests, fostering awareness among both international visitors and locals.
Art for Conservation
We created a life-sized whale sculpture made entirely from cans, symbolizing the urgent need to protect our oceans through creative, positive messaging.
Industry Leadership
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, our founder joined the Sustainable Tourism High Authority Council in partnership with the government, contributing to the development of a sustainable tourism strategy for the industry. She also teaches two university courses on sustainable tourism development and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Educational Programs
We have developed sustainability-focused educational content for tourism professionals and visitors alike.
Collaborations & Research
We work closely with DRIEN, have hosted environmental protection seminars, and co-launched the Ocean Guardians Network (Réseau des Gardiens de l’Océan – RGO) in French Polynesia. Additionally, we are proud to support scientific research by hiring a PhD student and hosting her thesis on cetacean migration within our Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEE).
Reducing carbon emissions
Sustainability has always been at the heart of our mission, and we are committed to responsible travel that makes a real difference. Previously, we partnered with Green Tripper to calculate and offset the carbon footprint of our tours through a global initiative. However, we recognized that while this approach was well-intentioned, it directed resources away from the local environment and communities we aim to support.
To create a more meaningful impact, we have chosen to focus on direct environmental conservation efforts within French Polynesia. In collaboration with FAPE (Federation of Environmental Protection Associations), we are investing in initiatives that preserve our islands’ unique ecosystems and cultural heritage.
Additionally, we are introducing a donation per traveler model, allowing us to fund impactful local projects. This includes supporting the translation of an educational booklet on cetaceans, developed by the Oceania Association, and hosting a special community week where locals can engage in immersive cultural and environmental activities.
By redirecting our efforts toward hands-on, community-driven initiatives, we ensure that every journey contributes directly to the preservation of our islands and the well-being of our people.
Travel that gives back
In 2025, we are deepening our commitment to local communities. For every group of travelers we host, we will sponsor a local class or NGO, giving them the opportunity to experience the same immersive, transformative journeys as our guests. By making these experiences accessible, we aim to foster a deeper connection between local communities and their natural and cultural heritage.
Through these initiatives, we continue to redefine sustainable tourism—not only as a way to minimize impact but as a powerful tool for education, conservation, and meaningful engagement.

We co-create meaningful cultural experiences with local communities, including those outside the tourism industry. These immersions go beyond simple exchanges—they showcase heritage, pass on knowledge, and restore awareness while providing sustainable financial opportunities for local families.
By stepping off the beaten path, visitors experience our culture authentically, while inspiring locals to develop tourism in a way that is deeply rooted in tradition and respectful of the environment.
This year, we’re taking our commitment further by supporting a collective project that unites multiple local associations for a greater impact.
